Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Unbound, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

2. Description of Service

Unbound is an AI-powered overlay application that provides real-time academic assistance. The service is offered in two tiers: Basic (X1.2 Lite) and Pro (X1.6 Pro Thinking). Access is granted upon purchase of a subscription and activation of a license key.

3. License Keys & Activation

Upon purchase, you receive a license key tied to your account. Each key is valid for one device. Sharing, reselling, or distributing license keys is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination without refund.

4. Refund Policy

No refunds are issued except in the following cases:

  • The license key has not yet been activated.
  • The service is confirmed to be down or non-functional for an extended period exceeding 48 hours, and we are unable to restore it.

Refund requests must be submitted via Discord or email within 7 days of purchase. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

5. No Liability for Academic Dishonesty

IMPORTANT — READ CAREFULLY:

Unbound AI, its developer, and any affiliated parties are NOT liable for ANY form of academic dishonesty, cheating, or academic misconduct.

We are NOT liable for:

  • Any academic penalties, failing grades, expulsions, suspensions, or disciplinary actions taken by any educational institution.
  • Any legal action, civil or criminal, arising from the use of this software during examinations or assessments.
  • Any consequences a student may face as a result of using Unbound, including but not limited to revoked scholarships, academic probation, degree revocation, or damage to academic standing.
  • Any detection, flagging, or reporting by proctoring software or educational institutions.

By using Unbound, you assume all risk and responsibility for how you use the software. You are solely responsible for your actions and their consequences.

The software is provided "as is" without any warranty of undetectability. While we implement advanced anti-detection measures, no system is foolproof, and we make no guarantees regarding detection evasion.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: reverse engineer or decompile the Unbound client beyond what is permitted for interoperability; attempt to bypass license validation; use the software for any illegal purpose beyond its intended academic use; or resell access to the service.

7. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance windows, model updates, and unforeseen outages may occur. We are not liable for any consequences resulting from service downtime.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your access at any time for violation of these terms, suspicious activity, or chargeback disputes. Upon termination, your license key is revoked immediately.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Unbound after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
